Australia Awards Mekong-Australia Partnership
Australia Awards Mekong-Australia Partnership (AA-MAP) offers emerging leaders the opportunity to undertake study, research and professional development with the support of the Australian Government. The AA-MAP scholarships provide opportunities to develop the skills, knowledge and networks to drive change and contribute to development in their home countries and the Mekong subregion, while maintaining strong links to Australia.
From 2026, MAP will fund additional Australia Awards Scholarships for Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Myanmar at postgraduate (Master’s) level to undertake coursework or research in MAP thematic areas. Scholarship recipients will have exclusive access to the Mekong Leaders Network. The MAP thematic and priority areas of study include: water security, climate action, gender equality, disability equity and social inclusion (GEDSI), combatting transnational crime and economic resilience and subregional integration.
Applications for Intake 2026 are closed
Australia Awards promotes equality and participation by all groups in society. This includes women, people with disability and people from excluded and marginalised groups.
