MASTERCLASSES

Australia is investing in the next generation of Mekong leaders by building leadership and skills through scholarships and masterclasses (short courses).

Through the Mekong-Australia Partnership (MAP), we offer masterclasses each year which deliver intensive training for select groups from Mekong countries.

MAP masterclasses showcase Australian expertise in education and training and are adapted to meet the needs of diverse participant groups – across government, private sector, and civil society.

We identify suitable participants working closely with Australian embassies and consulates across the Mekong subregion.

Australia prioritises opportunities for women, people with disabilities and other marginalised groups to support more inclusive and diverse leadership.

MAP masterclasses help participants increase their knowledge, foster people-to-people connections, and strengthen professional and institutional networks.  They are also designed to promote cooperation on shared challenges for problems that cross borders – like climate change and transnational crime.
