Australia Awards Scholarships are prestigious international awards offered by the Australian Government for postgraduate study at the Masters’ level.

The Mekong-Australia Partnership (MAP) is a regional development program that responds to transboundary challenges to support a more resilient and inclusive Mekong subregion. Through MAP, Australia is supporting Australia Awards for the next generation of Mekong leaders.

MAP provides additional Australia Awards to individuals from Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, and Myanmar (Australia Awards Mekong-Australia Partnership scholarships or AA-MAP scholarships).

We are looking for scholars to undertake coursework or research that supports the thematic areas of focus of MAP. This includes study relating to water security, climate resilience, social inclusion (GEDSI), countering transnational crime, economic resilience and subregional integration.

MAP scholars have exclusive access to the Mekong Leaders Network which brings together MAP alumni and build professional connections.

There are no costs associated with applying for Australia Awards or accepting an award offer. Applicants should not make any payments to individuals or organisations claiming to represent the scholarship program.
