Australia Awards are prestigious international Scholarships and Short Courses funded by the Australian Government. Australia Awards equip scholarship recipients with the skills, knowledge and networks to drive change and contribute to the economic and social development of their own countries and regions.
All recipients of Australia Awards become part of a global alumni network, connecting them to Australia and to each other – building an engaged and influential global network of leaders and advocates, and establishing a network of ambassadors for Australia and its world class education system.

Mekong-Australia Partnership: Leadership and Skills program
The Mekong-Australia Partnership Leadership and Skills program is a strategic, cross-cutting program designed to deepen Australia’s ties with the Mekong subregion (Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar) by facilitating access to Australian education and professional learning, promotion of knowledge sharing, and subregional cooperation.
The Leadership and Skills program supports diverse leaders within the Mekong subregion to tackle complex structural reforms and pursue joint, inclusive solutions to shared and transboundary challenges. The program is implemented by the MAP Support Unit and delivers scholarships, masterclasses, alumni engagement activities and alumni grants.
